Installation is that easy
Remove the existing fastening screw with the enclosed allen-key Tool
Remove the existing direct reading dial and replace it with the new DIMES Version
Fasten the dial by using the allen-key in its designated position (apply a normal force)
Remove the dial plug and connect the cable of the system in its designated position
Open the module and insert 2 AAA batteries
The pincode on the back of the module is needed to set up the app
Clean the surface and remove the protection film
Stick it to the wall and apply some pressure for 30 seconds

An easy installation combined with the free app makes the DIMES system your best companion.
  1. Why do I have to register and be logged in for the app to display data?
    The data is not stored locally on your phone, but on a central cloud server. This allows you to change your device without losing the data. To be able to assign the data, we need user accounts.

  2. What are the GPS data needed for?
    The DIMES product range also includes a solution for stationary cylinders (heating). In order to be able to offer relevant services (e.g. automatic filling), the data must be evaluated (customer, location, filling level). Furthermore, we plan to include all available LPG filling stations in a later version of the app. So you will be able to find the nearest filling station directly in the app.

  3. Why does my tracking service have to be activated?
    The providers Apple and Android do not allow bluetooth connection if tracking services are disabled.

  4. What data is collected and what happens to it?
    The data will be sent exclusively to us (ROTAREX S.A.). You can find further information at https://rotarex.com/privacy-policy-SRG-DIMES-App

  5. I am asked for a PIN when configuring the app. Where is it located?
    The PIN is located on the sticker on the back of the module. 

  6. Can I measure the level with the DIMES even without an internet connection?
    The readout of the current fill level is also possible without an Internet connection. Only the charts/curves are built via the cloud server.

  7. The app shows me an incorrect fill level.
    If the app displays REFILL (empty) although you knowingly have a full gas cylinder (or generally get a wrong display), this may be due to the special feature of the "first alignment" of the sensor. Since it is a mechanical level sensor that transmits the level from the valve to the display unit via a magnetic connection, under special circumstances the two magnets may "jam" together. Only by moving the float the magnets will be correctly aligned (by gas extraction and/or by vibrations while driving). Alternatively, the magnet in the sensor can be influenced by an external magnet so that it is manually released. Therefore the app should already be set up and tested during the installation before the sensor is screwed together (in this case the sensor can be adjusted again manually via an external magnet. Unfortunately, this problem is due to the design and cannot be solved by design. The problem exists only once - once the system is aligned, this problem will not reappear. This could have caused an incorrect value during your first measurements (which is why the level seems to have increased).

  8. The plug cannot be removed from the sensor.
    The plug connection is designed according to protection class IP54, which requires a good and safe connection. To release the connection, it is best to use a small (slotted) screwdriver, with which you press in the latch directly above the plug connection to be able to pull the plug upwards. How it`s done.

  9. Can several devices be connected simultaneously?
    The DIMES sending unit can only establish one connection at a time, but they can connect several devices (only not parallel). This situation is due to the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) standard.

  10. How often is the data updated?
    The default frequency is 12 hours, under ANDROID (Apple unfortunately does not support this function) you can set the cycle yourself (Menu - Global Settings - Advanced Settings). Please enter the value in minutes (e.g. 120 for an automatic update every 2 hours). Please also keep in mind that a shorter transmission frequency also means higher energy consumption (battery life).

  11. The ‚register‘ Button doesn’t work
    The text on your phone is set to too large or bold. You can temporarily change the size of your textto register. After your registration, you can reactivate the settings. We’re currently working on a fix, but in the meanwhile you can solve the problem with the following steps:
    SETTINGS -> Accessibility -> Display and text size Bold text (must be inactive) -> Larger text (must be OFF, or slider must be in the middle). Explanatory video.
